DOUBLE ITALIAN VICTORY IN VINCENNES’ TUESDAY

29 January 2025

Ironically, on the last day of 2024, in Turin, Free Time Jepson had won in the Paris Prix. Almost a premonition given that on Tuesday the son of Face Time Bourbon, owned by the Chelsea stable, made his debut on the ‘black’ of Vincennes in a ‘D’ race led by his trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro, obtaining a more than authoritative victory with an average of 1.13.3 on the 2850 metres. Started cautiously Free Time Jepson found himself in third wheel at the beginning of the descent, broke through after the bend on the climb and gradually isolated himself, obtaining his sixth victory in 10 races run. Fergus del Ronco was a good third; fifth and sixth were two other Italians: Fly Top and Follettocar.

A pinch of luck for the other indigenous success of the day. Colbert Wf (Gabriele Gelormini for Eric Bondo) was the protagonist of a good climb up from the penultimate position and was still able to sprint inside the outrider Igrisoni to reach second at the finish line. But the intervention of the jury removed Igrisoni from the finishing order and so for the bearer of the My Horse stable came the first victory on French soil.
