FRANK GIO DOMINATES PRIX OURASI

26 January 2025

Frank Gio, the son of Face Time Bourbon, owned by the Bivans stable, sweated it out from the first to the last metre. He dominated the Prix Ourasi, a Group 1 test on Saturday in Vincennes, with a cold Mathieu Abrivard. The bearer of Antonio Somma (and of the other 44 partners who made up his consortium), trained by Sebastien Guarato, entered all the sprints of the race, always staying within reach of the outriders and in the final he resisted the return of a very valid and insidious Lombok Giel, victim of a mistake in the first part of the race, at an average of 1.12.4 over 2700 metres. Three wins and a second place in the last four outings for Frank Gio, who in fact takes the sceptre of best European four-year-old. Irreparable error instead for First Of Mind to be reviewed therefore at the next opportunity.
