SUNDAY GREAT ITALY IN VINCENNES

20 November 2024

With the Prix de Bretagne, the first of the four ‘B’ qualifying races for the Prix d’Amerique, Sunday’s Prix d’Hiver 2024/2025 meeting officially gets underway. This will not be the only highlight of the day in Paris, which will, on the contrary, offer some very interesting races for the Italian colours. In fact, in the Prix Pierre Plazen, reserved for three-year-old males, Derbywinner First Of Mind will take to the track, certainly not new to the international context, having already raced in Sweden, but making his debut in France where he was nevertheless followed, being the son of the transalpine ace Face Time Bourbon. Also on the track will be Frank Gio, another native of the highest level. There is a large French representation that will count, among others, on Lombok Jiel (Pierre-Yves Verva), Luciano Menuet (Yoann Lebourgeois), Loulou de Mye (Tony Le Beller) and Largo de Castelle (Éric Raffin).

Among the females in the Prix Guy Deloison will also take to the track Funny Gio, the leader of the Italian female generation, also driven and trained by Alessandro Gocciadoro for the colours of the Comiantale stable, who will have to contend with fierce adversaries such as Liza Josselyn (Jean Michel Bazire), who recently came to the fore in the Prix Uranie; Lotta Bourbon (Éric Raffin) with Allaire Luna Nova Gwen (Yoann Lebourgeois) and Lush Life (David Thomain), Lerika du Chêne (William Bigeon) and Lexie de Banville (Thomas Levesque).
