It was a thrilling New Year’s Eve evening for a Swedish horse racing fan who took home a record-breaking haul of some 102 million Swedish kronor, which at today’s exchange rate makes some 87 million euros. This is the highest ever winnings from a horse race bet in the Scandinavian countries. The system used cost ‘just’ 975 kronor or 85 euro. In a press release, Atg director Katarina Widman congratulated the lucky, but above all skilful, bettor. And to think that in our country, the V7 bet was discontinued some time ago due to its lack of appeal to local fans.
