VINCENNES, MANAGEMENT EXTENDED UNTIL AUGUST 31

12 December 2024

The racecourses situation seems destined to hold away not only in Italy. In fact, news has just reached us that the current management of the Parisian racecourse of Vincennnes has been extended until 31 August 2025. All this while waiting to see what will happen with the new concession. The City of Paris has set an annual fee of 10 million euros, which seems out of reach, and would have done so based on the fees proposed by France Galop for the Longchamp and Auteuil concessions. Deeply opposed to this hypothesis was Le Trot president Jean Pierre-Barjon.

According to the French press, the top executives of the transalpine trot are also preparing a plan B, that is, to verify the possibility of rendering the Enghien racetrack somewhat similar to that of Plateau de Gravelle so as to be able to move all activity to this facility. In short, if no agreement is reached, the hypothesis of building an almost identical track in the second Parisian facility could also be envisaged.
