The grids for the UET Elite Circuit Final and the Grand Prix de l’UET have been defined
The starting position numbers for the UET Elite Circuit Final and the Grand Prix de l’UET, the two major international races scheduled for Sunday 11 October at the Vinovo racecourse, were drawn in Turin.
In the UET Elite Circuit Final, three of the top five horses in the overall standings had the right to choose their own number. Romain Derieux, leader of the circuit with Go On Boy, opted for 2. Anders Malmröt instead chose 3 for Don Fanucci Zet, entrusted to Örjan Kihlström, while Alessandro Gocciadoro took 4 for Free Time Jepson, who will be driven by Andrea Guzzinati.
The draw then completed the front row. Frank Gio, with Matthieu Abrivard and among the contenders for final success, will start from 5. On the inside there will be the French Harley Géma with number 1, driven by Alain Gendrot, while compatriot Krack Time Atout drew 6. Further outside the Swedish Daim Brodda, with 7.
Starting from the second row will be Always Ek (8), Powwow (9), Luke The Spook (10), Dubhe Prav (11) and Kentucky River (12), completing a high-level grid.
Grand Prix de l’UET, Fragolino Rosso starts from 5
In the Grand Prix de l’UET, the five winners of the qualifying heats had priority in choosing the numbers, with the order established through a preliminary draw.
After Milady Josselyn, who will start from 1, and Guglielmo Jet, at 2, Mathieu Mottier chose 3 for Maestro Vrie, while Daniel Wäjersten opted for 4 with Mellby Narrow.
Fragolino Rosso, brilliant winner of his qualifying heat, will start from 5, immediately inside his training companion Peggy Boko, who drew 6. More complicated the position of the French Miss Matters, called to start from 7, on the outside of the front row.
In the second row there will be other protagonists from the French training ranks: My Quality Piya (8), brought in to replace Must Atout, Ginger Gio (9) and Mostra de Banville (11). Completing the line-up are Recycle Cash (10) and Gangster Vendil (12).
With the grids now defined, Turin thus enters the decisive week of the UET Finals, with France, Italy, Sweden and Germany ready to compete in the two international events on 11 October.
